Do things that fell right to you, or make you happy
Break away from that mental state
See yourself more than just your wage

Programmed orders in their brains
Asks no questions, obeys all orders
No need to think what is humane
Not all wars are fought in defence
The Iraq war showed them this
But drones on hand when they’re needed
Prepared to kill when we wish it
They are the drones, on conflict they feed
War is a force that gives them meaning
An inner need resides within them
Anger rising from within
Confused with peace, they wonder blindly
Searching for their next victims
Glamorised by film and TV
War can win many awards
Celebrations for victories
Nothing learned from wars before

You question if this mental world can ever be repaired
Another unjust law upheld, another species dies
Wondering how to function, don’t others empathise?
Feeling like an alien, lost in a faceless crowd
Every breath is an effort, but others seem so proud
Can’t understand the world, does anybody care?
So few speak up or act, whilst most others just stare?

A friend says to ban dog meat, whilst eating bacon baps
Raising for child charities; kids made their clothes and bags!
Others mock your life choices, saying that you’re weird

Yet somehow you’re a “freak”, they ask why it matters
What do you eat? How do you live? Do you have fun?
You try to think where to begin, but you just want to run
